This video shows the mock up of our van design. The idea of converting our own van came about after a vacation to the Canadian Rockies. We rented a 15 passenger van. That large van was easy to drive and maneuver. We looked into RV’s, and 5th wheels, but a van would allow us to go almost anyplace. Less than a year later it was serious enough, to create a full scale mock up in the garage. We could have done a 3D CAD model, but that would not allow us to stand in it and get the true feeling of size, and proportions. So, we modeled it out of 2×4’s, plywood and lots and lots of cardboard.
It wasn’t pretty, but it did the job!
